Endodontic is the branch of dentistry dealing with the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases of the dental pulp, or the inner substance of the tooth (pulp canal therapy; root canal therapy).

Restorative dentistry is the study, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures in addition to the rehabilitation of the dentition to specific functional and aesthetic requirements of the individual patient.
